Did you know that nearly 60% of your brain contains fats?!
Whether your brain mostly contains the good fats called fatty acids or the bad fats all depends on your diet! These fats aid in creating cell membranes for your body. So if you're guilty of having a diet with lots of bad fats, then your brain will end up creating low-quality nerve cell membranes with poor function. It is essential that you consume these healthy fats for your big brain to work. Luckily there are lots of option you could try!
Foods with good fatty acids:
Avocados
Fish
Chia seeds
Canola oil
Flaxseed oil
Olive oil
Walnuts
I know it can be hard to cut down foods high in saturated fats such as fast food, cakes, donuts, butter, ice cream, potato chips, and salad dressing. However, remember there is nothing wrong with treating yourself once in a while and eating in moderation! Your brain is one of the most important organs in your body and it is essential that you know how to take the best care of it.
